In reply to <a href="https://cosmobc.com/kappa-cygnid-meteor-shower/#comment-48149">Tracey Weller</a>.

Hi Tracey, unfortunately the Kappa Cygnids are a Northern Hemisphere shower (radiant near +45 deg declination in Cygnus). From Perth (~32S), Cygnus barely clears the northern horizon, so this shower won't be visible.

For August viewing from Perth, your best bets are the tail end of the Southern Delta Aquariids (peaked July 30, radiant -16 deg) and Alpha Capricornids (peaked July 31, radiant -10 deg) - both still active into early August with radiants well-placed overhead.

The next major shower with great southern visibility is the Geminids (Dec 13-14) - reliable, bright, and high in your sky.

Clear skies!
